Tortoise in photoshop!

I have been working on the tortoise today. I wasn't really sure how to go about doing it as unlike the porcupine, there's a lot more parts to it.



I started off with the base coat, and just thought about it in layer, starting with the female first.

I have been trying to use the same techniques that I used on my pen and ink drawing, and have been zooming in really far into the drawing to add different mark making techniques. Including cross hatching, and drawing little lines and dots.
