Style of eyes and final tortoise design

I have decided that I want to make my drawings look realistic, but with cartoon-like eyes. Here I have to experimenting with different styles of cartoon eyes.


I like this style, it's quite manga like.

Here is my final design for the tortoise scenario.. I have given them the cartoon like eyes. All I need to do now is scan it in to the computer and start working on it in photoshop!
