Rain is millions of tiny speech bubbles unused..

I've started looking at different ways I can do the text. As I want my book to look quite quirky, would like it to look quite hand drawn.

Going through the different fonts on Photoshop, none really sprung to my attention.
I did however like the style of Bookman Old Style:

I have decided I'm going to use this font, but drawn over each letter to make it look quirky. I really like how this has turned out.

Changes to the salamander

After talking with Paul, I've decided that Twilight probably isn't the best way to go with this design idea. It doesn't really fall under the demographic I'm selling my product to.

So instead, I've made some changes to the salamanders. I've taken off their wigs, and gotten rid of the role play kit.

I have also moved the foot on the male salamander as it wasn't looking quite right to me.

Today I've been thinking about what typography I should use for my book, so have just been experimenting in my sketchbook.



I quite like the one for 'Just bite me already!' It would fit in well with the design idea I have for the book.

The others might not work that well, still I've enjoyed drawing these out. I like typography :)

Finished Salamander Design

Today I drew out the finalised salamander design, I'm still undecided about the bed but I guess I'll see how it goes when I start working on it in Photoshop.

I started on the male tortoise today, still using the same techniques as before. I think I'm finding this section a bit quicker to do as I'm referring back to how I did it yesterday.
